Malta is becoming a blockchain hub

Malta’s prominence in the crypto world has been increasing, especially after the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, decided to move its headquarters to the island. The Malta Blockchain Summit, which will be held in November, is another sign of Malta’s dominant position in the crypto world. The summit will is expected to bring together 4000 delegates, 100 speakers and 150 sponsors and exhibitors. Malta’s Virtual Currency Act has benn cited as an inspiration for this summit.


“I wish to welcome every blockchain enthusiast to the Malta Blockchain Summit, a melting pot for global influencers in technology, civil society, democracy promotion and innovation,” said Eman Pulis. Managing Director of the Malta Blockchain Summit.

The summit will consist of 4 conferences on topics ranging from government regulation to FinTech and tokenomics. Christopher Obereder, a serial entrepreneur and a member of Forbes 30 under 30 list will be among the keynote speakers. Many more global speakers agreed to take part, including  Carla Maree Vella, Eva Kaili, Kohei Kurihara, Max Krupyshev, and others. The Prime Minister of Malta, Joseph Muscat, will also take part in the event.

The island of Malta might be the next center of the crypto world due to favorable legislation and local government support.
